Sherry and Diya Foundation based in Mumbai was found on November 18, 2016. Sherry and Diya Foundation is the inspiration of Mr. Rakesh Kothari. Sherry and Diya Foundation was founded with the objective that animals are not our to be eaten or to be worn not ours to experiment on or use for entertainment purposes. Sherry and Diya Foundation also aims at promoting veganism and educating people towards creating a better environment for these animals.
Sherry and Diya Foundation is a non-government, non-profitable, and registered animal welfare organization working for the prevention of cruelty towards animals. Sherry and Diya Foundation’s major objective is to upgrade and establish facilities for animal help, rescue, and rehabilitation such as shelters, ambulances, mobile clinics, and helplines.
Sherry and Diya Foundation believes in the philosophy of “One animal homed is one animal off the street”. Sherry and Diya Foundation also works hard to treat and rescue injured and sick dogs and put them in good homes through adoption. One of its main goals is to ensure that animals on the streets are healthy and vaccinated. Sherry and Diya Foundation invites you to join hands in this noble venture through active donation or by becoming a volunteer. Every step that we take towards the direction of animal welfare can make a difference.
It’s time to start now!
Animal Care
We have a lot of really great animals all the time, and all of them need homes. You can help them find homes and when you do that, you’ve made the biggest difference in the world for that animal! Schedule an appointment with the volunteer coordinator to walk through and visit the animals. Choose one or several of our dogs, cats, or critters, and have your parent and the volunteer coordinator help you to take photos of them.
1. Every animal in our care needs everything your pet at home needs: food, water, love, and exercise! To help us provide basic care for our animals, you can:
2. Make toys! Giving toys to shelter animals encourages them to play, which is a form of exercise. There are many types of toys you can easily make at home.
3. Your sponsorship helps to pay for routine maintenance and
operational needs as well as animal adoption outreach projects.
4. Make pinecone ornaments covered with peanut butter and birdseed to hang from our trees to help feed the wild birds.
